Roys Peak Track climbs high above Lake Wānaka through open hillside and wide alpine country. From the top, views stretch across the lake to Mount Aspiring and the surrounding Southern Alps, making it one of the region’s most well known walks.
This series celebrates the natural shape of the land through topographic design. Contour lines connect points of equal elevation, revealing the rises, ridges, valleys and peaks that form each landscape. This piece captures the unique elevation and natural character of one distinct location through refined, layered linework.
