The Whanganui Journey is one of New Zealand’s Great Walks, following the winding path of the Whanganui River through deep forested valleys. Travelling by water, the journey passes remote bush, historic sites and towering cliffs along one of the country’s most significant rivers.
This series represents well-known tracks through a simple, continuous line that follows the path of the trail. Each piece captures the shape of the journey itself, transforming the route of the walk into a clean, minimal form that reflects the experience of moving through the landscape.
